The tricity's tutor search problem, and how we're fixing it
Search "home tutor" in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula and you'll find hundreds of listings — mostly just phone numbers with no way to verify who's actually behind them. Parents are left doing the vetting work themselves: checking credentials, judging teaching ability from a single phone call, and hoping for the best. We built Chandigarh Tutor Hub to take that burden off parents, by doing the verification and matching work upfront, before a tutor's name ever reaches your family.
A teacher, not an agency
Most tutor agencies are run by people who have never taught. That is the reason a parent can be handed a tutor with an impressive CV who cannot explain a single chapter clearly — nobody in the middle was able to tell the difference.
I have taught, for twelve years
I'm Vivek Sharma, founder of Chandigarh Tutor Hub. Maths and Science for twelve years, Physics for eight, Computer Science for five — up to Class 12. I studied engineering, and I spent those years explaining the same topic five different ways until it finally landed for the student in front of me.
Why I started this
I watched families take a tutor on trust, pay for months, and only find out much later that their child had not moved forward. The tutor was confident. That is not the same as being good — and a parent has no fair way to tell the two apart before the damage is done.
What that changes for you
Because I have taught these subjects, I can watch a demo and tell whether a tutor is genuinely explaining or simply reciting. That judgement is the whole service. Every tutor here is reviewed by someone who has taught the subject themselves — starting with me.
How we're different from a listings site
We deliberately don't operate like an open marketplace where you browse hundreds of profiles yourself. Every match starts with us understanding your child's actual needs — class, subject, current level, and what specifically isn't working — before we shortlist tutors who genuinely fit.

Rather than promising every subject and every class from day one, we've deliberately kept our early focus narrow: Maths and Science, Class 6 through 12, across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. We'd rather do this well and expand carefully than spread our verification standards too thin, too fast.
